A church for the whole community

(When not in Lockdown)

We meet together every Sunday morning at 10.30am for family worship in the main hall. The service is of an informal nature with both modern Christian songs and traditional hymns sung as part of the worship.

God is our refuge and strength an ever present help in trouble. Pslam 46:1

What we believe

We are an evangelical Baptist church who believe the Bible was inspired by God and reveals His plan to bring everyone into a living relationship with Himself. This is possible through Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who through his death and resurrection opened up the way for any person to embark on this relationship.

We believe the Holy Spirit is also God and enters the life of anyone who puts their trust in Jesus. The church is the community of Christian believers who live to worship, serve and follow Jesus. Baptism is the outward sign of the new life that we enter into when we become a Christian.

Our activities, events and services are open to everyone, regardless of your religious beliefs or values.

Bible teaching and Prayer

The Bible teaching and prayer make up the other important ingredients in our services. We have a designated room which provides a quieter space for prayer and counselling.

Once a month we share communion (breaking of bread) together to which all are invited.

Prayer Services

3rd Sunday each month 7.00pm           This is an informal gathering where people have the opportunity to pray for each other, the church, the community and the world.

Why is this happening?

To answer this question, we need to go back to the beginning.

Mark Simmons  is our minister and has been so since October 2000. He tells us this about himself;  “I hail from Oldham in Lancashire and am an avid supporter of Manchester United! (Well nobody’s perfect!)
